1.By breaking the first bead lubricate the seat of the rim over the entire circumference (When the bead is depressed).
2. By breaking the second bead (large side of the rim), do not lubricate the rim, to avoid automatically replacing of the bead on its seat.
If necessary, place the rubber tube Ø15 in-between rim edge and tyre bead. This precaution provides the correct fixing of the rim in the claws of the turning table.
3.The wheel is fixed on the table; you can verify the centring by free turning of the wheel under the tool (Not yet adjusted).
4.Put the tool in contact with the rim edge (in height and in diameter) at the place where the tyre side is pushed down and then fasten the tool. A vertical and horizontal replacement arises automatically. |
5.After that, place the bakelite ball of the RF-arm under the rim edge and let the wheel turn one or two revolutions, to push down the bead over 360°. Stop the rotation when the valve is 90° passed by the bakelite ball of the RF-arm (1/4 revolution).
6.In this position put the end of the rubber tube Ø25 under the rim edge, just after the bakelite ball of the RF-arm. Let the wheel turn with small sequential movements while putting in the complete rubber tube in-between rim edge and tyre bead. |
7. Stop the rotation (the tube Ø25 is placed) when the valve is under the tool. This position avoids any contact with the pressure sensor of the valve (If there is any).
8. Place the rim edge protector (light blue) on the rim edge and under the demounting tool.
9.In this position put the bead-lifter under the bead to demount. If necessary – to do so – push the tyre
bead down with the help of the bakelite ball of the RF-arm.
10. Then pull at the bead-lifter until the bead passes above the demounting tool. On the opposite side, by the effect of the rubber tube Ø25; the bead slides into place under the rim.
11. Let the wheel turn, first by small movements, to ensure the demounting is correct. Occasionally, take away the rim edge protector.
Attention : When, at the opposite side of the tool, the tyre bead is not in the rim base, or that, at the tool, the bead is not upon the tool, the demounting is impossible and then a serious risk exists of damaging the rim or the tyre bead! |
12. The upper bead is demounted, while turning the wheel, take up the lower bead by means of the RF-arm and stop rotation when the valve is just before the demounting tool.
13. In this position put the bead-lifter under the lower tyre bead with the use of the RF-arm. This beadupon the demounting tool, is ready to demount. |
Precaution : It is advisable to use manual traction on the under side of the tyre – just after the demounting tool – while starting the table turning, to avoid the wheel turning on its own without the tyre. This manual endeavours to prevent all damage to a valve with a pressure-sensor. |
